This Mother’s Day, surprise her with something that she will absolutely love!

These recipes are simple and fun to make,  you and your kids will have a lot of  fun whipping  these up f or mom!

Cream cheese stuffed French toast:

Ingredients:

  • A loaf of Texas toast
  • 1 package of cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 can of evaporated milk
  • 1 cup of regular sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • Additional toppings – strawberries, blueberries, and/or whipped cream

Instructions:

  • Combine and beat cream cheese, vanilla, 1/3 cup of the regular sugar, and powdered sugar
  • Spread this mixture onto one side of each piece of toast and then place another piece of toast on top so that the cream cheese is in the middle – like a sandwich
  • Mix the egg, evaporated milk, the rest of the sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl
  • Melt the butter on the stove on a medium temperature
  • Dip both sides of the bread in the egg mixture
  • Grill the bread until a brownish color
  • Add the additional toppings

 

Ham & cheese stuffed croissants:

Ingredients:

  • 4 croissants
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 8 slices of cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees
  • Slice the croissants in half
  • Place a slice of cheese on the top and bottom half the croissant and two slices of ham in the middle and then close – basically you are making a croissant sandwich
  • Place the croissants on a baking tray
  • Mix the mustard, honey, and brown sugar together and brush on the tops of the croissants
  • Sprinkle the poppy seeds on the tops of the croissants
  • Bake for 6-7 minutes

 

Breakfast pizza:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • 1/3 cup of sliced onions
  • 6 pieces of cooked and shredded bacon
  • 4 eggs

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  • Coat the baking sheet with cooking spray
  • Stretch out the pizza dough onto the cooking pan and cover with oil
  • Top the pizza dough with the slices of tomato, shredded cheese, slices of onions, and shreds of bacon (leave 3-4 inches of the dough uncovered)
  • Crack the eggs in a separate bowl, and then place each egg onto the uncovered areas of the pizza dough
  • Bake the pizza for 25 minutes (when the pizza is done, the eggs will be fully cooked and the crust will be a brownish color)
